Message Brake fluid is Hydroscopic which means it attracts moisture..
Moisture = corrosion = bad seals.. ( and yes I ment the clutch reservoir )

IF you can get it in the air.. your looking for:
a) Leaks, at the slave cylinder either the incoming pipe on top, the bleed screw, or out the shaft seal.

B) When your buddy presses on the clutch you SHOULD see a LARGE amount of travel for the slave pushing against the clutch arm. If you see it just touching then stop or slight movement you either have air in the lines or shot slave or master or both.

YOu could TRY bleeding the system and that MIGHT work for a bit...
